Licensed Vocational Nurse

Licensed Vocational Nurse performs various patient care duties, under the supervision of the Unit RN and Unit Nurse Manager.

Duties of Agency nurse

-Administers medications and treatments orally, rectally, internally, or by injection.

-Performs technical Nursing procedures according to facility and state regulations

-Documents and reports pertinent observations.

-Communicates orally and in writing to other team members pertinent information.

-Documents according to facility policy.

-Responds to emergency situations to ensure safety of individuals.

-Follows safety and Infection Control Procedures of facility.

-Monitors individuals for treatments and procedures.

-Provides education to individuals with specific health goals.

-LVN II assists other staff in turning/repositioning individuals to administer treatments.

-Ensures that supplies are available.

-Manages individuals medical record in Electronic Health Record or paper chart.

-Attends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements for all candidates:

- Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.

- Demonstrated computer & electronic health record skills preferred.

- Licensed to practice as a licensed vocation nurse in the state of Texas (or a state that recognizes reciprocity through the Nurse Licensure Compact).

Pay:

- $35/hr starting Salary

- We can offer a $1000 bonus for completing full contract

Other:

- No extra time off will be available during the holiday season including Christmas, and New Years.

- Must have valid photo ID and current American Heart Association CPR certification

- Must have negative PPD results within last 12 months

- COVID-19 testing with negative result required (Facility provides test on date of OB)

- COVID-19 Vaccination Card (if applicable, not mandatory)

- Must be able to successfully pass a urine drug screen and background check (Relode provides)

- Must be able to successfully pass an FBI fingerprint background check (Facility provides)

American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS) in Texas (TX)

Regular Driver License (DL) in Texas (TX)
